symphony youth orchestra in Angers, France
The Collège and Lycée David d’Angers Symphony Youth Orchestra, founded in 1983, is a recognized formation of Angers region cultural space. Composed of 60 musicians between 11 and 17 years old, mostly students at David d’Angers high school, this orchestra brings together enthusiasts, generous of their time and talented students.
OLDA orchestra performs a dozen times in the region each year. Our young musicians work together to the best of their abilities, demonstrating a commitment to the group and the music.

The orchestra performs a wide variety of challenging works, including classical music as well as movie soundtracks, musical theatre and pop arrangements.

yearly international musical tour
Parents play an important role in organizing fund-raising events to enable the orchestra to travel abroad once every year and meet up with foreign musical orchestras, choirs or ensembles. Exchanges have already taken place in many European countries, Canada, Argentina, United States and China. See the map of all our musical tours.
The aim of such international musical tour is to promote understanding and harmony amongst young people around the world.
